Eagle Creek Aviation Services, an authorized Twin Commander Service Center in Indianapolis, has completed a third Grand Renaissance Commander for the Colombian Army.
The Model 690B Twin Commander was transferred to the army from the nation’s air force, where it had sat for three years before going to Eagle Creek for the 10-month Grand Renaissance project.
Along with the complete airframe and systems refurbishment that defines the Grand Renaissance, Eagle Creek performed several service bulletins, upgraded the Honeywell engines to TPE331-10T configuration, installed a medevac door modification that allows the main cabin door to swing open 180 degrees, and upgraded the panel with Garmin G600 and GNS750/650 avionics.
The army uses its Grand Renaissance Commanders for military VIP transport and medevac missions.

Colombian Army now has three Grand Renaissance Commanders, all done by Eagle Creek Aviation Services.
