The Colombian Army has contracted for its fourth Grand Renaissance Twin Commander conversion. The latest, a Model 900, has been delivered to Eagle Creek Aviation Services, which did the first three for the Colombians.
In addition to the complete airframe, component, and systems refurbishment that is at the heart of the Grand Renaissance program, this latest conversion will have the Honeywell TPE331-5 engines upgraded to Dash 10 specifications, and the panel will be replaced with the new Garmin 950 electronic panel and Cobham/S-Tec 2100 Digital Flight Control System.
“We are pleased that the Colombian Army continues to find the Grand Renaissance to be a capable and reliable aircraft for its various demanding military missions,” commented Eagle Creek President and CEO Matt Hagans, “and we are honored that they have once again turned to Eagle Creek to accomplish the work.”
