Alistair Fallon Named Head of Twin Commander Aircraft

July 01, 2024

Long-time Ontic engineer Alistair Fallon has been named Value Stream Director for the company’s Type Certificate group, which includes responsibility for the full line of Twin Commander models. Fallon previously served as Engineering Manager for Ontic's Creedmoor facility, primarily focused on products installed on Boeing aircraft.

In the job since June, Fallon has been actively working to bring excellence back to Twin Commander Aircraft’s customer service experience. “The first priority is customer engagement,” he said. “When a customer calls, we will be sure someone picks up.” Like many manufacturers, Fallon acknowledged the company has faced challenges over the past 18 months in supply chain management, which has resulted in some customer service frustrations. “We’re too reactive currently,” he said. “The community is helping each other, but we aren’t doing enough to help the community. That has to change.” Fallon is planning a tour of Twin Commander Factory Authorized Service Centers to learn more about their needs and how the factory can better support them.

Fallon said his engineering expertise, and experience supporting production for Ontic’s line of electro-mechanical components for Boeing has taught him the ability to adapt to supply chain challenges and to remain focused on problem solving and workable solutions.

Prior to managing engineering for Ontic’s component manufacturing line at Creedmoor, Fallon was based in the UK, working his way up through Ontic. He began at the company as an Engineering Apprentice, and a company representative described him as a strong leader and a success case of Ontic’s extensive apprenticeship program.

“I love the heritage of the Twin Commander line of aircraft,” he said. “And I’m excited to serve this passionate group of owners and the vibrant community that supports them.”
