The Model 500A is the same as the Model 500 with the following exceptions: The Wing structure modification in nacelle area, Fuel injection engines (Continental IO470-M), Hydraulic system modifications, Redesign of Cowling and Nacelle, New landing gear, and Gross weight increased from 6000 to 6250 pounds. The 500A was certified on April 7, 1960.
